Welcome to Rio Grande Associates Web Site. We are builders of quality 1/8 size 1.5" scale and 1/5 size 2.5" scale Outdoor Railroad Equipment. We offer 2 classes of equipment, our Standard Series and our Grande Series. Both are built to high quality standards but the Grande Series equipment contains all the extra details that are associated with Fine Scale Narrow Gauge Railroad Models. Once you take a look at our equipment and compare the quality and price of the others we know you will want to own our models to enhance your quality outdoor railroading experience.

Company Profile:

   At Rio Grande Associates we use CNC equipment and quality materials to provide our customers with quality machined products. We have been operating outdoor railroad equipment for a number of years and realized a need for a higher quality of railroad rolling stock that is more realistic to scale and includes more detail than was currently available. That started us out into developing some of our Standard Series cars which include our 2 Bay Offset End Hopper car, our 2 Bay Offset End Peaked End Hopper car, our ACF 70 Ton Covered Hopper, our Standard Flat car, our Bulkhead Flat car, and our 40' Outside Braced Single Sheathed Boxcar. We introduced the First of our Grande Series cars the UTLX Frameless Tank car, and have now added several new models. Rio Grande Associates also prides itself in custom machining of components for your projects and complete manufacturing of your model ideas.
